Starting an online Business

Quite a lot of work is going on at OpportunityWorld (a company that i head at the moment). With the recent discovery that you can actually use software based technology to create online businesses, to the discovery that liteforex is the best Egold account option for people who are having problems with opening a dormicilliary account for their forex account.
Also at the moment, a colleague of mine is working on the best scalping software that is very useful on Liteforex (because they allow scalping). For those who don't know, scalping is when you try to catch 2-5 pips using a high lotsize at a go. We are already using strategic tester to backtest the performance of the EA.

Two products are on the go for now.......and they'll be reviewed until the end of first quarter in the new year. The first is a program we have called "Cashflowsuite", which is a means of starting an online business from scratch without any startup capital. The other is Letmedoyourwork which is dedicated to people who are finding it difficult to jumpstart their business due to their non-savvy status. Any interested participant should contact us via the above website links

New Testimoney Report:
After the creation of a forex adsense website, "Bee" ( not his real name) made 7 dollars today on his adsense account. And one surprise about this is that he hasn't even done any site promotion, save for his submission on search engines. We at OpportunityWorld will continue to monitor his earnings and write reports on here.

From my end here......I'll call it a day.

Google-Youtube...

Google is well known for their creative innovation.webmasters who are into adsense would have noticed another added feature where webmasters can make money via youtube.
This means that an average blogger can enhance their site with high-quality, relevant video content from youtube and also earn extra revenue along the way.
With this innovation Google can deliver videos based on categories , individual content providers or as well deliver videos based on your site content

I am just going to try these feature out and write my own review on it. I must say another big kudo's to google for such innovation.

Making Money online requires HardWork

Often times, i get a lot of mails from so many people, asking how possible it is to turn $20 into $1,000,000 within a space of six months. For some brief moment, i simply shake my head in self pity at peoples greed to earning more than 3100% on a small investment of money. While it is possible to invest in various MLMs and High Yield Investment Programs (HYIP) found online, it is also a point that one can lose everything overnight as these HYIP sites could possible close down whenever. However, there is still a fact that there are genuine ones out there, but finding them is another case study on its own.

When it comes to making money, i think the first and major criteria to be considered is hardwork. Hardwork is a prerequisite for making money as no online business can succeed without it.

Another major issues is what i termed "working smart". Working smart simply means doing the right thing at the right time in the right place. An average knowledgeable person should know as much as possible about their business. It gives an edge over other competitors as an unrivalled innovation makes a business to stand out.

Therefore with these two points, it is obvious that starting a business, either online or offline is not a bed of roses. However, hearing various success stories from other people as well can rejuvenate your flagging energy and give a hope that you can as well succeed in business.

Make Money Online Without Selling

Many would-Be entrepreneurs do not really have a flair for selling online especially when it comes to affiliate marketing. However there are various other ways that i have personally tried out that ensures profit without selling. Below are some of them:

Get Paid to Review Software:
SoftwareJudge is a website that accepts software reviews from people around the world. A reviewer gets paid at lest $1 for every approved and published software review. Revenue varies depending on quality of of the review though, but a good review can get as much as $50 from Software Judge.

Get Paid to upload Videos:
Metacafe pays as much as $100 per 10,000 views for every submitted video as long as such videos are copyright property of the owner. Also, achieving a 10,000 view is quite achievable as metacafe has over 1 million people who search and watch videos online daily.

Get paid to complete Assignment:
Even though you have to pass a tough online test to be a ClicknWork's home-based worker, they do have plenty of online jobs and assigment and you as a worker can earn between $5 to $150 per hour completing assignment at home. They are broken into 4 categories:
-Analyst
-Information Specialist
-Web Searchers
-Others

6 Tips to becoming a succesful Entrepreneur

Its best for an average person to have an entrepreneurship mindest and build on their existing idea, irrespective of what they are. I have discovered something in Enterpreneurship, The business i do now, is only a steppng stone to a bigger idea i have in my head. I have a small business i started about three months ago that has a cash a small inflow every week. Each time i discuss this small startup with my friends, they are rather surprised at the low cashflow, and ask me why i am starting a small business instead of building a large one, i simply tell them that what i have is a MEANS TO AN END.

Do you have a big idea?, think big and start small, The ideas and cash you pulled together from your small business can definitely finance the big business in the bigger picture.

1.I do not believe in borrowing cash from banks to start a small business. I believe the fact that the money i need to start a big idea in my head is with every potential person. If i can squeeze the money out of their hand by offering them a fair priced product or service, and then gather the capital bit by bit, i am sure in the MEANS TO AN END. I know this could take quite a long time, but the juice is well worth the squeeze.

3. Invest more in knowledge. Please don't attend seminars( you are better of buying books and Seminar CDS). Read through various websites. For more information on starting up a business, you can download "The bootstrappers Bible". It has been a lot of help for me. There is no substitute for knowledge. visit other entrepreneurship blogs for more knowledge. it will be of immense help.

4.Patience is a virtue, I know its difficult to be patient(infact, some think its unfair) but having passion for what you do can help you to be more patient as well. Enjoy what you do.

5. Do not be afraid of failure, A business whizkid once told me a phrase, "Do the damn thing", yes, just do it, don't be bothered about what people say about your small startup. Just make sure that what you are doing is completely right and you are not leaving any stones unturned.

6. Don't follow trends, especially the general ones. Dont follow it, just do you own thing and be unique.

Lastly, don't let a brick wall discourage you. Instead, look for ways to corner round the brickwall so as to continue on your journey to success. In my own experience, one of such brickwall is lack of electricity.simply meandred round it by saving up some money(FROM CASH FINLOWS OF COURSE) and buying a small Generator, Inverter and Battery.

Bootstrapping: What it is...

When i first heard the word bootstrapping?......It caught me unawared that the next moment, i was checking it in the dictionary. I got in contact with that word when trying to search for more information about a small business start-up that i was being consulted on about two years ago. Days after, i teased couple of friends over dinner to know what they thought it meant.Guess what?...they all got it wrong.
So what does it mean: Bootstrapping is simply a way of starting up a business without the use of external funding. Bootsrapping is simply the use of a great idea to minimize the startup capital a would-be enterpreneur needs in other to start up a business. From many hours of surfing online,I discovered that various online and internet businesses are actually created through bootstrapping methods without the need for a huge financial capital. One of such is Dell Computers, which specially made the use of an idea of direct selling from Manufacturer to consumer a mida's touch.
Many other businesses have made use of a simple idea to generate so much money either through the use of technology or a simple logic that details it. Bill gates as well did a bit of bootstrapping( Thats my own thought) when he licensed IBM to make use of it proprietary software. He could as well have sold the entire software to IBM but he saw a potential in the vast market that IBM controls.
While so many indivdual wants to jumpstart a business, they find it quite difficult due to lack of capital. With a book like The Bootstappers Bible, there is light at the end of the tunnel. After consuming the Bootstrappers Bible by Seth Godin, i was a completely changed person as it clearly reveal a different perspective to entrepreneurship that i had never experienced or thought before.
It was a really an eye opener that details the other side of enterprenurship that i never saw. Seth is a best sellng author and he holds an MBA from Stanford. He was once called "The ultimate Enterpreneur for the information Age" by business week. To cash in on this as well, you can download a copy of the Bootstrappers bible here.

Discover 7 ways of making money online

Discovering where to start when venturing into online business can be very daunting. For a newbie, doing a Google search returns information that requires sorting as they contain loads of junkies and scams. Therefore a wannabe internetpreneur requires adequate patience to scan through the loads of junkies to obtain the information required. Often times, it takes quite some time to break even. Another issue is the fact that one can get a lot more confused in the process as so many vendors splash their wares in our faces claiming that their own system, own machine, automated system, instant wealth system, suresystem (they all call it various names) works 100%.after being convinced by various sales pitches, many would be internetpreneur hastily buy this systems and packages only to discover that they’ve just purchased another book or system that they cannot make sense of. I must also state that there are still many vendors and books out there that I consider to be very good and educative when it comes to jumpstarting one’s career in internet biz. In the light of this, I have decided to list 7 different ways of jumpstarting a internt business. Some, you can start without any start-up capital, others with minimal capital. The main goal is to create a successful business with little or no funds. So here we go:

1.BLOGGING:
Blogs are online diaries. Over the years, it has transcended more than that as various businesses and popular websites have started theirs. Blogs are electronic diaries that you can use in sharing your personal interest online. For example, if you are a celebrity freaked person, or you love watching the Hollywood E-channel, you can start a blog where you write about the latest Oprah’s Flop, or the memoirs of Paris Hilton. It does not matter what you are writing, you will definitely arouse common interest as long as you are original. Yes original. If by chance you get started with blogging, please do not copy and paste post from article sites. I once did that when I started blogging and I noticed that it put off loads of visitors. Even if all you rant about is the nightmare you had last night or the latest video games you played or some form of boring food you eat, you will definitely get visitors who will be captivated and will always come back for more of your posts. A good way to start blogging is signing up with blogger or wordpress both are free and after couple of posts( lets say 2 to 3), you can then add Google adsense. I also recommend subscribing to Darren’s Problogger. It was of immense help to me when I started blogging.

2.WRITING AND SELLING EBOOKS:
The internet is a huge market place, especially for the selling of digital products. It has also revolutionaries publishing as you can create a book within minutes without any start up capital. With the use of free softwares like DoPDF or other sophisticated commercialized ones like AdobePDF, you can create and sell electronic books without any startup capital. The first step to this is finding and carving out a niche for yourself. You can find niches by subscribing to nicheaday. Nicheaday is reputable for sending out niches about different subjects that you can write about on a daily basis via email.
I personally prefer writing on a topic that you I have more knowledge on. Are you a vegan? You can write a book on vegan diets
Are you a scaffolder? I am sure there are so many scaffolders willing to learn new tricks about scaffolding; do you have a cure miracle for acne? Then you could create a book out of this. Just make sure you write quality, using simple English. It is best not to bore your readers with loads of jargons. So many online e-book buyers are looking for simple, fast and effective “how to” products. Don’t make yours complicated. After the creation of your book, you can sign up at clickbank or paydotcom as a client and sell your book.

3.INTERNET MARKETING:
Do you not have the creativity of creating your own product? You can actually promote other people’s product online. One good thing about this is that, each time you make a sale, you are entitled to some percentage of the entire sale. This could range from 10%-70% depending on the agreement. A great place to start is clickbank or paydotcom. You can then promote those products though your highly trafficked blog or via article marketing. Article marketing can be done by writing reviews on various products you are promoting on article directories like articlecity or ezinearticles . There are other article directories you can make use of, and using Google search will be a good idea. Other ways of promoting products is the use of Google Adwords. Be aware of the fact that Google adwords requires a startup capital and also a level of expertise in writing ads, as failure with this could result in you losing money.

4.BUYING AND SELLING ON EBAY:
I did this quite a long time ago before leaving the trails for my younger sibling. I remembered starting up by selling two pair of shoes I got for Christmas on ebay. As brand new, both of them are worth $100 but I ended up selling it for a record $90 inclusive of postage. Afterwards, I started selling fairly used shoes that I bought from charity shops and car boot sales. Another trick I used is arbitraging. I sometimes do buy products on ebay cheaply from sellers who do not list them in appropriate sections cheaply and sell them using a highly optimized sales pitch.
I did make quite a lot of thousands from ebaying, and you as well can do exactly the same by signing up for ebay and selling junkies littering your home that you do not need. Be sure that someone somewhere out there wants them and are ready to buy them.

5.WEBHOSTING RESELLER:
Becoming a web hosting reseller is quite profitable in the long run as long as you can perfect your business strategy. Web hosting and domain registration is one of the frameworks of the World Wide Web. Without it, various businesses will not be able to create an online presence. You do not need to have your own server to be able to start a web hosting services. You can actually sign up for a virtual server, which is basically an allocation of a server space to you by your server provider. You then break out the server space into smaller chunks that you can sell to clients who want you to host their services. An example is that of Nairahost. The owner actually realized that Nigerians do not have credit card facilities to pay for web hosting online, so he created a web hosting service where an individual/client can make payment for web hosting in the local currencies (Naira). As at last year, The Company grew up to have a 400 client base.

6.PAID SURVEYS:
Not all paid surveys are scams. There are quite couple of them that helps you to rake in profit quickly. While I have not participated in paid surveys that much, I have heard reviews from quite couple of people who claim to have made money via paid surveys. A good example of a paid survey website is Paid survey etc.

Warning: Please read reviews online about paid surveys before you make any decision either to sign up or not, as I cannot guarantee success with each individual ones.

7.UNIQUE DEXTERITY:
Can the genius in you match that of Alex Tew, the million dollar page creator who figured out that he could turn his webpage into pixel and sell each pixel for $1. He ended up making millions from various companies and internet firms who jostle to buy his premium pixilated web page. Others are the creator of Youtube, facebook, and the popular Hi5. Do you have a weird idea? can you create something unique that brings out the new face of the worldwide web?, Then you can become a rich whizkid overnight by bringing out your ideas to light. Irrespective of how and what it is, JUST DO IT. But but…….make sure it’s ethical…….

Starting an online business is not a bed of roses; it requires dedication and spending quite some time working online. The best way is to hang in on there and continue what you have started even if you do not realize profit at the start. Use Google to search for tones of information online about your niche. Sign up on forums to read about other people’s idea’s and experience and you sure should be on your way to the top.

How To - Make A Living As An Affiliate

95% of all affiliates make $0 - $100 a year. I don't know about you, but in my books, this is not a living. In this quick "How To" guide, we'll take a look at how you can become part of the 5% who ARE making their living online. This guide does not guarantee that you'll make a fortune, but it will point you in the right direction if you're interested in making a living as an affiliate.

1. Mindset: Get in touch with your grey matter. Program your mind with positive, committed thoughts. If you can believe it, you can achieve it. It sounds a bit like a sales seminar, but bottom line is, if you don't believe you can make a living online, you won't. You have to be committed. Commit to yourself that you will develop an income online - no matter what it takes. Think of your business as a bacon and eggs breakfast. The chicken was involved, the pig was committed!

2. Viewpoint: This is your business. Once you've accomplished your first hurdle and committed yourself to making this work, you have to look at your business from the proper viewpoint. No rose coloured glasses here. This is your business. You are the CEO of your own marketing company. You can choose to offer your services to one or several companies. Bottom line, you are responsible for every action in your company. Every decision you make affects your bottom line.

3. Learning Curve: Expect it. Becoming an affiliate is like going to college or university. You start at the beginning, learn the basics and build on what you learn. Take it step-by-step and you'll build a much stronger business. Think of it like becoming a doctor. One doesn't decide to become a doctor with the expectation of opening a successful practice one week from now. It takes time to learn the products or services you're marketing and it takes time to learn to run your business.

4. Budget: Time and money. Set a general budget for both. As a business owner, you'll use plenty of time developing and promoting your affiliate business. Budget as much time as you can each day and make sure you use your time wisely. Set up a budget for your monetary expenses too. You can run a business online with a shoestring budget, just don't expect a mammoth income in the beginning. The more you can invest in your business, the better. This doesn't mean that simply throwing money at your business will make it grow. Every dollar that goes out your door, needs to come back in and bring another dollar with it.

5. Goals: s/he shoots - s/he scores! Your goals will get you through the tough times. There'll be lots of days when you feel like quitting. If you make your goals tangible, you'll make it through the tough days. Money isn't a motivator, but what money can buy, is. Set your goals for a family vacation, a new car, boat, or home. It's much easier to get excited about a shiny red corvette in your driveway than $100,000 sitting in your bank account. Money is only numbers on a piece of paper or a computer screen, but it can bring you a luxurious lifestyle, and that's where the fun is.

6. Nuts and Bolts: Once you've got your house in order, with the proper mindset, you're looking at your business from a realistic viewpoint, you've got an open mind and you're ready to learn, you've set aside some time and money and you've got pictures of your dream house, car and vacation plastered on your wall, you're ready to go hunting. The next step is to find a business that interests you and offers an affiliate program with a reasonable commission. For information products, one of the most popular and profitable online, you can and should expect a commission of 25% or more.

Pick a product that interests you. Buy it and use it. Your business is based on your recommendations of a product or service. If you haven't used it, how can you recommend it? Running around in circles after the newest, hottest selling product of the day, only leaves you dizzy and broke. If you like astronomy, becoming an affiliate of a star chart company may be a good fit. Selling women's pantyhose may not.

7. Look before you leap: Finding a company to represent as an affiliate is one thing, finding a company that respects its affiliates is another. Do a bit of research before you jump on the bandwagon. Send an email to the company as if you're a potential customer. 24 - 48 hours is a good response time. This shows that someone is actually running the company. It also gives you an idea of their commitment. Generally, the faster the response, the more committed the company is to doing business. The quality of the response is also important. Did the response answer your question? Was it written in a friendly, professional manor? Did they answer your question directly or simply send you to a FAQ sheet?

8. Flip the switch: If everything checks out up to this point, then your next step is to take action. Fill out the affiliate application form and get your affiliate URL. Now the ball is in your court. It's time to get down to brass tacks. If you freeze now, you make no money and flush your goals down the toilet. If you take action, you make it one step closer to your goals.

9. If you build it - they will come: OK not really, but you do have to build it. If you want to maximize your income and be taken seriously, you need to own a website. Just like a brick and mortar business, you need a professional location to offer your products. Yes, you get an affiliate URL when you sign up as an affiliate, but promoting an affiliate link looks amateur and will help you LOSE 98% of your sales. We'll cover this in point 10.

10. Follow-up = Sales: Only 2% of your prospects will sign up or buy what you're offering, on their first visit. 98% of your sales will be made from your follow up. There's a very simple method for following up and making sales automatically.

i. Check your favourite search engine to locate a free ebook, software program or report that relates to your offer. If you're promoting a website that sells peanut butter, a free peanut butter recipe book would be a good match. Your give-away must always relate to the product you're promoting to maximize the results of this system.

ii. Build a page on your website to give away your free peanut butter recipe book. Design the page as if you were designing a sales page. Make people's mouths water until they want the recipes so bad they'd gladly pay for them, but then give it to them free. All they have to do is fill in their name and email address in the simple form and you'll send their recipe book to them instantly via email.

iii. As soon as your peanut butter prospect fills out the form on your site and clicks the send button, they are taken to your affiliate URL where they can buy peanut butter. At the same time, the peanut butter recipe book is sent to their email address.

iv. Now your peanut butter prospect receives an email from you each week with new tips and useful peanut butter information. This information positions you as a peanut butter expert and gives you the opportunity to promote your peanut butter affiliate website once a week, to hot prospects. This is where you'll make 98% of your sales.

Although this may seem like an overwhelming amount of work for the beginner, it's all very simple. The whole process is run from an autoresponder, a simple piece of email software that automatically sends your prewritten email messages on a predetermined schedule.

Your success as an affiliate is determined by you. 95% of the people that read this simple How To guide will do nothing with it. 5% of the people that read this guide will put all the pieces in place and start making a living as an affiliate. All you have to decide is which side of the coin you want to be on.

Terry Telford comes from the marketing and advertising world. In 1991, he graduated with honours from the Advertising Program at Loyalist College in Belleville, Ontario, Canada.

Terry learned the psychology of sales. What to say and more importantly...what not to say to have prospects beating down the doors to buy, buy, buy.

In 2001, he hopped onto the internet with the hopes of expanding his mail order business. At first glance it seemed pretty simple.

There were Free For All (FFA) sites where he could advertise to millions of people, free. Classified ad sites would run ads for $5 or $10, or the big expensive ones were $20 a month.

To put that into perspective, Telford was spending $600-$1000 a month offline on classified ads, so $20 a month was like hitting the jackpot.

Once he had his first online business running profitably, he sold it for $10,000. Then he started a new online business and currently owns 42 websites.

He is a copy writer, marketing consultant and business coach. He specializes in helping small business owners communicate like big business.

How to find hot niche markets

Working out what your niche market will be to start your home business is something that can elicit much excitement. This is when you can put all those great ideas you have had for your business into a plan of action. Give yourself a number of options to work over. Some will be great and some won't fit. Get more than one so you always have a back up when you start a home business.

Look to 3 sources for ideas:

* A hobby you love: You won't find many hobbies from which you can't build a business. And since you enjoy doing it, it won't be tedious to "go to work" every day. When you pick something for your business that you sincerely like, you will have fun at doing it.

* Your experiences: In life we go though many experiences and you can use these to build a business. For example if you have raised children you can then put all your parenting experience together and start a business related to parenting.

* Your talents: Everyone has one or more talents within them. Dig down and see what yours are. You can start a freelance business using your talents.

Defining your niche market:

1. List out some ideas then put them in the order of what you like the best.

2. Go to the site listed here and put a key word into the overture suggestion tool box: This will bring up the amount of searches that have been done for your keyword and will represent demand.

3. If you search out that same key word on Google search engine http://google.com then you will see websites supplying that item and you will know how many competitors are out there that will be competing with you when you start a home business.

4. If you find a topic that is demanded in quantity but low in the suppliers, you will then make money. This should be your special market for which you do your niche marketing. You will make more money with a niche market as you will reduce and sometimes even eliminate competition. Go through your list of ideas until you narrow it down to about

5. Then go through them again and see which one will fit into a niche market.

Establishing your USP:

Once you have found the concept that fits into a specialized or niche market it is time to establish your USP, Unique, Selling, Point. This is when you will take your idea, and see how you will make your business uniquely different from your competitors. Often neglected, finding the USP is something that new business owners need to do to set their item above the competition. Online businesses are very competitive and you have to stay ahead of the game.

There are two reasons you need to set yourself up as different from others:

1. Get ahead of your competitors

2. To clearly define to your potential customers why your product and service is better than your competitors.

Deciding on your business model:

Part of your business concept will not only be consolidating your ideas but also choosing your business model. There are a few that you can choose from:

* Affiliate marketing-Getting involved with affiliate programs will target your efforts

* Network marketing (MLM)- again this will target your market and idea.

* Marketing-taking the product and selling it

* Service- you should use your talents, which includes freelancing.

You can see there are a number of things you will have to do to get your business concept into operation. But it's worth it to plan and take care in developing it. It will be your foundation, after all.

Get that contract done now. Does not really matter if the client is your dearest friend; you are in business. Be a professional to the core. Make Santa sign a contract if he is your client (it is that important). It is really not very difficult to get a contract. Check out the web and you will find free templates and see what fits your needs, read them a number of times before finalizing, so that there are no loopholes.

Professional approach
The first thing that is required is a professional outlook towards the whole aspect of freelancing. Do not jump into anything and everything that is posted, as that is what most new freelancers do. This sort of excitement doesn’t do any good. It is a good idea to always check and do a little research on whether those people are good to work for. When answering an ad for a project, any reply to an ad is professional. There should be no slang and no laid back attitude. When they reply back, continue to be professional in your correspondence and make sure they state what exactly the work is and when it will be paid for and what the other terms and conditions are.

Be organized
Make sure you are organized even before getting into freelancing. You will have to organize your life as well as your work. Learn to live on the edge, to live up to deadlines, and live on schedule. This certainly does not mean you lose your freedom, it only means you earn more money and have more time for yourself. Make life easier on your and keep your desk free of clutter. Buy the required office supplies like post-its and keep reminders. Freelancing means being your own boss and that means organizing oneself for better results.

Quality
Quality consciousness is an issue in which there are no two ways. Maintaining quality so that the client is satisfied is of utmost important. By turning in work that is not great, a freelancer is bringing their reputation down. For a freelancer, their reputation is their prize and everything possible should be done to keep it spotless. This reputation for providing good quality work will keep projects rolling and new opportunities will raise their heads without having to search for them. Give 120% to your clients and you will reap the rewards.
